Ah, refreshing.

The simplest form of hydrotherapy is drinking water.  It's also one of the most overlooked ways we can improve the health and function of our bodies.  Water plays a vital role in every system of the body, and when there isn't enough, we have to compensate in ways that can leave us sick, tired, achy, and even grouchy. How much do you drink per day?  For optimal body functioning we need half our body weight in ounces each day.

150 lbs= 75 ounces, or just over 2 liters of water.  Are you getting enough?

The equation changes slightly if you work out regularly or consume caffeinated beverages.   For each hour of strenuous exercise, you should replace 1 liter of liquid, preferably enhanced with electrolyte (Emergen-C or the likes).  For each caffeinated beverage you consume, you should drink 1 glass of water, as caffeine is a diuretic and can cause fluid loss.

So raise a glass, and treat yourself to health!
